US concerns about Beijing’s support for Russia’s defense industrial base were raised by Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his three-day visit to China, as reported by a source. Blinken stressed that if such support continues, the US will take further action beyond existing sanctions on over 100 Chinese entities and individuals. In an interview with CNN, Blinken stated that he addressed the issue with both China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and President Xi Jinping. He conveyed that if China does not act, the US will. Blinken’s remarks came as he concluded his visit to China, during which he held discussions with top Chinese officials, including Xi Jinping. The US alleges that Chinese support is aiding Russia in increasing the production of tanks, munitions, and armored vehicles, allowing it to sustain military operations in Ukraine. According to reports, Blinken made these comments in an interview with CNN, highlighting the contentious issues between the two countries, such as US tech controls and Beijing’s support for Moscow.
