AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala lambasted the BJP government, labeling it as a “Khali Chambu” (empty cup) government during a meeting at the Congress party office in Devanahalli on Saturday.
Surjewala accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to fulfill promises made to the people of Karnataka and the nation, likening his commitments to empty promises.
He quipped, “Modi has been giving Chambu to the people of Karnataka and the country for 10 years. He promised ₹15 lakh in every citizen’s bank account, but that turned out to be an empty promise. His pledge to create 2 crore jobs also remained unfulfilled, just like an empty cup.” He said that what Modi wants from the people is also an empty cup.
