Major services at the temple will be suspended on today

CH NEWS, MANGALURU

Some important services will not be held at the legendary Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple on August 23 and 24, according to a statement from the temple.

Due to the Ekadashi on August 23 and the additional Ekadashi on August 24, specific services including Sarpasamskara, Ashlesha Bali and Naga Pratishtha will not be performed for devotees on these two days. Therefore, the temple management has asked devotees who come to perform these services to plan their religious programs keeping in mind the date.

However, there will be no restrictions on the darshan of the Lord on these two days. The daily Mangalarati, Archana, Mahapuja, and other daily pujas and religious rituals held in the temple will continue as usual. Devotees can have darshan of the Lord and participate in the scheduled pujas.

There will be a special religious atmosphere in the temple on the occasion of Ekadashi, and devotees from far-off places are expected to have darshan of the deity in large numbers.

During Nagar Panchami, miscreants were accused of trying to cheat devotees in the name of the famous Nagakshetra Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple through AI. A fake video was circulated on social media. The temple management board had filed a complaint against this at the police station.

In a video that was circulated on the occasion of Nagara Panchami, the message was that if an advance payment of Rs 750 was made, the temple service would be performed and prasad would be sent to the devotees’ homes.
