The International Roundtable on Humanitarian Prediction and Consequent Action, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, has concluded with a strong focus on the use of artificial intelligence, data systems and predictive tools to improve global humanitarian response mechanisms.
According to reports, the event brought together policymakers, humanitarian agencies, and technology experts to discuss how predictive analytics can help shift disaster response systems from reactive models to anticipatory action. The discussions emphasised strengthening early warning systems and improving coordination between governments, international organisations and the private sector.
A key theme of the roundtable was the growing role of AI-driven forecasting in identifying crises such as food insecurity, displacement, climate risks and health emergencies before they escalate.
