VIJAYAPURA
Gandhi Circle became the center of a massive celebration as BJP workers in Vijayapura cheered the party’s performance in the West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry assembly elections. The atmosphere was festive, with hundreds of supporters bursting crackers and sharing sweets to the sound of victory slogans.
District President Gurulingappa Angadi told the gathered crowd that these results prove the “Modi wave” is stronger than ever. He noted that the BJP’s surge in West Bengal, traditionally a Trinamool Congress stronghold, shows that voters are looking for a change in leadership. “A new phase of development is set to begin,” Angadi claimed, as workers celebrated what they see as a major political shift.
Former Minister Appasaheb Pattanshetti took a sharper tone, alleging that the electorate had delivered a strong message against the policies of the previous West Bengal government. He argued that the Prime Minister’s focus on infrastructure and growth has left the Congress party struggling to stay relevant in the national conversation.
The celebration also highlighted the role of women in the election. Swapna Kanamuchanal, head of the local BJP Mahila Morcha, stated that women voters played a key role in the victory, rejecting opposition parties and siding with the BJP’s stance on women’s empowerment. Local leader Vijugouda Patil added that the win has significantly boosted the morale of grassroots workers, who remained confident despite what he called “misinformation campaigns” by the opposition. Leaders from across the district joined the event, turning the victory rally into a major show of local strength.
