Actor Ajith Kumar celebrated his 55th birthday by announcing his upcoming racing documentary Gladiators. The makers released the first glimpse of the project on Friday, giving fans a special surprise and creating excitement among motorsport and cinema lovers.
The documentary focuses on Ajith Kumar’s motorsport journey and his passion for racing. The announcement was made through a video shared by Ajith Kumar Sports Services LLC on social media. The team described the project as a story about chasing impossible challenges through determination and courage.
The 50-second teaser begins with a race car waiting on the track as Ajith Kumar walks towards it wearing full racing gear and carrying a helmet. The video then shifts to high-speed racing visuals before revealing the title Gladiators along with the tagline In Pursuit of Challenges. The glimpse also shows Ajith standing beside his racing car in professional gear.
The documentary is directed by filmmaker A. L. Vijay, who has captured Ajith’s racing experiences for the project. Music for the documentary has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Sharing the teaser online, the composer expressed excitement about creating the racing-themed music for the film.
Although the makers have not announced an official release date, they confirmed that Gladiators will release in theatres. Ajith Kumar, who appeared in the 2025 films Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly, has been actively focusing on motorsport since 2024 through his racing team.
The actor is also preparing to compete in the Le Mans Cup at Circuit Paul Ricard in France as part of his international racing journey ahead soon.
