A mobile medical camp was organised in remote areas of Kodagu district, providing healthcare services to underserved residents across Maldare, Guhya, and Nalvathu Acre regions.
The initiative was conducted by Transforming Tomorrow Foundation (TTF India) in collaboration with Mobile Medical Services Coorg and o9 Solutions. The camp aimed to improve access to basic healthcare in plantation and tribal settlements located in difficult-to-reach areas.
A team of healthcare professionals visited plantations and nearby tribal habitations, offering free medical consultations, health screenings, Ayurvedic support, and community awareness sessions. Services were provided directly to vulnerable groups including plantation workers, tribal families, women, children, and daily wage earners.
A total of 84 residents benefited from on-site medical care delivered through temporary clinic setups and a dedicated mobile medical van. The services included blood pressure monitoring, general health check-ups, and detailed patient consultations.
In addition to treatment, awareness sessions were conducted to educate the community on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices. Organisers said the programme was designed to promote long-term health awareness along with immediate medical support.
TTF India stated that the initiative is part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare access in rural and underserved regions of Kodagu district. They added that such mobile outreach programmes help bridge the gap between remote communities and essential medical services.
Local residents appreciated the effort, noting that such camps are crucial for areas where access to hospitals and clinics remains limited due to geographical challenges.
