The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation organized a commemorative event at its central office in Hubballi on March 30, 2026, to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. The program was attended by officials and staff members who paid tribute to the revered spiritual leader and reflected on his teachings.

The event began with Chief Works Engineer S. V. Angadi offering floral tributes to the portrait of Lord Mahavir and lighting a ceremonial lamp to formally inaugurate the celebration. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of incorporating Mahavir’s principles of truth, non-violence, and compassion into daily life. He noted that these values are essential for building a peaceful and harmonious society.

Virupaksha Kattimani, who also spoke on the occasion, elaborated on the life and philosophy of Lord Mahavir.
