Vijayapura

In a gruesome incident, a 72-year-old man, Gurubasayya Revayya Hiremath, was murdered and his body partially burnt by unidentified miscreants in Tenahalli village of Indi taluk. Police said the attackers killed him and set his face on fire to destroy evidence before fleeing. The motive is still unknown. Police officials visited the spot and began an investigation. A case has been registered at Indi Rural Police Station, and efforts are on to trace the accused.
