Hubballi
Uncertainty continues to surround the long-pending Hubballi-Ankola railway line project, as the central government has yet to approve the Detailed Project Report (DPR) even a year after its submission. The much-anticipated Hubballi-Ankola railway line project, considered crucial for improving connectivity between the coastal and northern regions of Karnataka, remains in limbo due to delays in approval from the central government. Despite the DPR being submitted at an estimated cost of Rs 17,146 crore last year, there has been no official clearance so far. Officials from the South Western Railway (SWR) have reportedly not received any response from the Ministry of Railways regarding the project.
