The makers of Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, have announced that the film will premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2026.
Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary, the film is a dark comedy built around a simple situation that turns chaotic. The story begins with a wedding being called off after gifts have already been exchanged. Trouble starts when one person refuses to forget about a toaster he had gifted, leading to unexpected and humorous events.
The film features a strong ensemble cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Archana Puran Singh, Farah Khan, Upendra Limaye, Jitendra Joshi, and Seema Pahwa in key roles.
Toaster also marks the first production under the banner of Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao. Patralekhaa shared that the story stood out because it finds humor in unexpected situations, making it a unique and engaging project. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao has other projects lined up, including Nikam, based on public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, and Raftaar, co-starring Keerthy Suresh, set to release on July 24, 2026.
