Siddaramaiah to remain Chief Minister full term: Yathindra

Intro

Yathindra stated the high command ignored individual demands and confirmed Siddaramaiah will serve a full five-year term uninterrupted

MYSURU

Legislative Council member Yathindra Siddaramaiah said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will complete a full five year term, adding that there is no confusion or discussion about any leadership change in the state.

Speaking to the media after attending a private programme in Mysuru, Yathindra said the party high command has given a clear signal that there will be no change in leadership. He said even though it has not been stated openly, the message is clear and final.

He said rumours about changing the Chief Minister are being spread only by some sections of the media. According to him, no one within the party has demanded Siddaramaiah’s removal, and the issue has already been settled.

Yathindra also said the high command has not given any importance to demands made by a few individuals. He added that Siddaramaiah will continue as Chief Minister for the full five year period without interruption.

Reacting to the court granting a B report in the Mooda scam case, Yathindra said his family had full faith in the law. He said they had done nothing wrong and welcomed the court verdict. He added that their mother was happy with the decision and said the law is equal for everyone.

On allegations that Minister George was interfering in departments, Yathindra said the minister himself had clarified the issue. He accused the BJP of dragging his name without reason and targeting him repeatedly.

Commenting on the MNREGA row, he said the government is following Gandhiji’s Gram Swaraj idea. He also supported elections using ballot papers, saying many advanced countries are moving away from EVMs.
