BENGALURU
Lakhs of passengers have been suffering for the past five or six days due to disruptions in IndiGo flights. Passengers who were supposed to travel from Bengaluru to many states and countries are struggling to get flights. This has also affected patients. Patients who are going for treatment in other states and countries are also facing problems.
Patients are airlifted in private planes by I-Cat Air Ambulance. Before being admitted to the hospital, a hospital bed is booked from Bengaluru. They travel to and from Bengaluru by different airlines. After that, the patient is airlifted directly to the hospital. Due to the change in IndiGo flights, the price of air tickets has increased. Therefore, the price of air ambulances has inevitably increased.
This has created a problem in shifting patients. Despite the price hike, patients are suffering as they are unable to get timely treatment in other states and countries.
