Yuvraj Sandhu leads Jaipur Open with 66 score

Jaipur

Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Sandhu took charge of the Jaipur Open 2025 on Thursday, firing a brilliant 66 in the third round to build a three-shot lead. After rounds of 65 and 63, Yuvraj now sits at 16-under 194 at the prestigious INR 1 crore event held at Rambagh Golf Club.

Starting the day just one shot behind the leader, Yuvraj produced an eagle, four birdies, and two bogeys to dominate the penultimate round. “The bogey on the first hole woke me up. After that, I felt in rhythm and played the way I wanted all week,” Yuvraj said, reflecting on his performance. He is now eyeing his sixth PGTI title of the season, which would match the record set by Manu Gandas in 2022.

Halfway leader Kushal Singh struggled to maintain his momentum, posting a 70 with four birdies and two double-bogeys. He slipped to second place at 13-under 197. Bangladesh’s Badal Hossain rose to third with a steady 66, finishing at 12-under 198.

Yuvraj’s round featured birdies on the 3rd and 12th holes, an eagle on the 8th, and two late birdies on the Par-5 17th and 18th holes. Despite a couple of mistakes, he praised his improved ball control and credited his coach Gurbaaz Mann for helping him refine his game.

Local professionals Hemendra Choudhary and Prakhar Asawa were further down the leaderboard, tied 28th and 42nd, respectively. With just one round to go, Yuvraj appears well-positioned to chase history and possibly claim his sixth win of the season, keeping the crowd at Rambagh eagerly watching.
