Golden jubilee of KSPCB to be held on Nov 5

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) will celebrate its Golden Jubilee on November 5 at 2:30 PM at the Government Science College Grounds (Murugharajendra Stadium) in Chitradurga. The event is being jointly organized by the district administrations of Chitradurga and Shivamogga along with KSPCB’s regional offices. Several dignitaries and public representatives will attend the grand celebration.

The event marks 50 years since the establishment of the Pollution Control Board. Minister for Planning and Statistics and District In-charge Minister D. Sudhakar will inaugurate the programme. Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre and School Education Minister S. Madhu Bangarappa will attend as chief guests.

KSPCB Chairman P.M. Narendraswamy, MLAs B.G. Govindappa, B.K. Sangameshwar, T. Raghumurthy, and Gopalakrishna Belur will also be present. The event will be presided over by Chitradurga MLA K.C. Veerendra (Pappi), with MPs Govind Karjol and B.Y. Raghavendra as special invitees.

A host of MLAs, MLCs, and chairpersons of various state boards and corporations—including Dr. B. Yogesh Babu, Pallavi G., and G.S. Manjunath—along with senior officials from Chitradurga and Shivamogga districts, will participate in the milestone celebration.
