BENGALURU
Marking World Vegan Day, animal rights activists organised a campaign at AECS Layout to raise awareness about cruelty towards animals. The event, led by the Bangalore Brigade for Animal Liberation (BBAL), featured an awareness march urging people to adopt a compassionate lifestyle.
Activists highlighted the hidden cruelty behind the use of meat, milk, eggs, leather, honey, and animal-derived beauty products. They said that countless chickens, goats, fish, and pigs are raised and killed for human consumption, suffering immense pain that society often ignores.
“Animals were not created for human use or consumption. They should not be exploited for food, clothing, or entertainment,” said campaign organisers Mahesh and Dilip. “Their skin and lives exist for their own protection and freedom, not ours.”
The campaign called for empathy, ethical choices, and a shift toward vegan living to end animal exploitation.
