A new Netflix series, “Operation Safed Sagar,” starring Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill, was unveiled at the inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 in New Delhi. The event, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, celebrated the bravery and spirit of the Indian Air Force (IAF), making it the perfect platform to introduce the patriotic series.
The marathon witnessed participation from over 12,000 people, including Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, IAF officers, veterans, dignitaries, and civilians across 46 locations nationwide.
Produced by Matchbox Shots and Feel-Good Films, with the support of the Indian Air Force, the series is inspired by true events from the Kargil War. It tells the story of IAF pilots who risked everything to protect their nation in one of the most challenging air missions in history. Alongside Siddharth and Shergill, the cast features Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, and Arnav Bhasin.
Speaking at the event, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh praised the IAF’s professionalism during the Kargil operation. Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, said the series goes beyond the battlefield, focusing on courage, friendship, and patriotism.
“Operation Safed Sagar” has been filmed across active Air Force bases and will stream on Netflix in 2026.
