Months after the successful Operation Sindoor, which struck terror camps deep inside Pakistan, the Indian Security Forces are set to conduct Exercise Trishul, a large-scale tri-service military exercise involving the Indian Navy, Army, and Air Force along the western border with Pakistan.
According to defence officials, the exercise will commence on November 3 and continue till November 13, with the Indian Navy taking the lead in close coordination with the Army and Air Force. The Headquarters Western Naval Command will spearhead the operations, which will unfold across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat, extending into the northern Arabian Sea.
The tri-services exercise will witness participation from the Army’s Southern Command, the Navy’s Western Command, and the Air Force’s South-Western Command. The Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force, and other central agencies will also take part, reflecting a strong emphasis on inter-agency coordination.
Officials stated that the exercise aims to validate and synchronise joint operational procedures, improve interoperability, and enhance integrated network operations across multiple domains — land, air, sea, cyber, and space. A key focus will be on achieving seamless coordination between the services during large-scale amphibious and maritime operations.
Highlighting the scale of the operation, the exercise will feature Indian Navy warships, Indian Air Force fighter and support aircraft, and amphibious landings involving the Indian Army’s amphibious units alongside naval assets such as INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility vessels (LCUs).
Additionally, the forces will test joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Warfare capabilities, reinforcing India’s readiness for integrated operations and its commitment to maintaining robust defence preparedness along the western front.
