Former India head coach Rahul Dravid has credited Rohit Sharma for spearheading India’s transformation in T20 cricket, calling the team’s batting approach “off the charts.” Dravid said that discussions with Rohit early in his coaching stint focused on adopting a more aggressive style to match the evolving nature of T20s.
Dravid revealed that Rohit’s late-career shift to ultra-attacking intent gave India early momentum, ultimately leading to their 2024 T20 World Cup triumph. He added that India’s fearless batting template has now set the benchmark globally.
“Rohit deserves large credit for leading the change,” Dravid said. “India’s T20 batting is redefining the game, and now everyone else is trying to catch up.”
