The Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board has called for applications under the Vipra Self-Employment Direct Loan Scheme for the year 2025–26. The initiative aims to support economically weaker members of the Brahmin community by providing financial aid to start self-employment ventures.
Loans will be directly sanctioned along with subsidies — ₹20,000 for projects costing ₹1 lakh and ₹40,000 for projects up to ₹2 lakh. The remaining loan amount will carry an annual interest of 4%. Eligible applicants must belong to the Brahmin community’s general category, hold an EWS certificate, be Karnataka residents aged between 18 and 65, and only one member per family can apply.
The scheme reserves 33% of benefits for women and 5% for the specially abled. Applicants must ensure their Aadhaar-linked mobile number and bank account are active. Applications should be submitted online at www.ksbdb.karnataka.gov.in before October 31. For further details, applicants may contact the helpline number 8762249230, according to a press release issued by District Skill Development Officer, Gavishankar K.
