Renowned playback singer S. Janaki visited the Sai Baba Temple on Court Road in Ramanagara on Sunday, taking time out during her journey to Mysuru to offer her prayers and receive the deity’s blessings. The singer, known for her multilingual contributions to Indian cinema, was welcomed by the temple priest, Kamalesh Vyash, who escorted her during the visit.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Janaki expressed that it was significant to visit the temple on Sai Baba’s birth anniversary. “As I was traveling to Mysuru, I wanted to make it a point to visit the temple and seek blessings from Sai Baba,” she said.

S. Janaki also lauded Ramanagara for its cinematic heritage, highlighting the region’s iconic hills, including the famous Sri Ramadevara Betta, which has served as a picturesque backdrop for several films. She noted that both Hindi and regional language movies have been shot in and around the area, emphasizing Ramanagara’s longstanding contribution to the Indian film industry.

The temple administration honoured the legendary singer during her visit, presenting her with a memento and expressing gratitude for her presence. S.
