Kareena Kapoor Khan has begun shooting her 68th film, Daayra, a crime drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The actress shared a behind-the-scenes video from Day 1 on set, asking fans to “Send love and blessings.” This marks her first collaboration with both Meghna Gulzar and South Indian star Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Daayra is produced by Junglee Pictures and PEN Studios. It is Meghna Gulzar’s return to crime stories after her successful films Talvar and Raazi. Known for her deep and emotional storytelling, Meghna promises Daayra will highlight serious social issues through a strong, dramatic plot.
Kareena is excited to take on another bold, character-driven role. Prithviraj, fresh off his recent pan-India success, is known for his strong screen presence. Fans are eager to see their chemistry on screen, as the pairing is new and unexpected.
The film’s script is written by Yash Keswani and Sima Agarwal. The producers include Vineet Jain, Dr. Jayantilal Gada, Amrita Pandey, and Dhaval Gada. With filming now in progress, Daayra is set to be one of the most awaited films of 2026.
