At the ongoing National Book Fair in Lucknow’s Balrampur Garden, two unusual books have caught the public’s attention—a miniature edition of the Bhagavad Gita and a creative cutout book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The tiny Bhagavad Gita, displayed by Apoorv Shah of Navrang Printers, Ahmedabad, has become the star attraction. Measuring only 1 inch in height and 1.5 inches in length, the 400-page book weighs just 80 grams and costs ₹80. Shah said he created this edition so people could carry the scripture easily, adding that even young readers were showing interest. Released in 2019, more than 500 copies have already been sold. At this fair, Shah brought 100 copies, of which 91 were sold within days.

Buyers praised the idea, calling it a convenient way to keep the Gita close. Retired PCS officer Dinesh Gupta from Lucknow said he was delighted to find such a compact and inspiring edition.

Equally popular is Shah’s ₹250 cutout book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which presents highlights of his life and daily routine in a visually creative format. The book, 11 inches long and weighing 180 grams, has drawn interest from young readers, with 100 copies sold in just six days. Shah said the innovative style was attracting people eager to learn about Modi in a fresh way.

Both books have become major attractions at the fair, which runs from September 4 to 14, offering a mix of spiritual tradition and contemporary creativity to visitors.
