Actress Rasika Dugal has officially started shooting for Mirzapur: The Film, the movie version of the popular web series. She returns as Beena Tripathi, a role that made her a fan favourite. Filming has begun in Mumbai, marking the start of the first schedule.
A source close to the production said Rasika has slipped back into Beena’s character with ease. The insider also hinted that Beena’s role in the film will be even more powerful and bring something completely new to the story.
The movie will see actors Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi return as Guddu Pandit and Kaleen Bhaiya. While rumours suggest that Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan have joined the cast, their roles are still under wraps.
Mirzapur is a crime-thriller set in Uttar Pradesh, following Kaleen Bhaiya, a feared gangster and businessman. The first two seasons starred names like Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, and Shweta Tripathi.
Rasika Dugal, who began her career in 2007, became well-known after Mirzapur. She has also acted in Delhi Crime, Out of Love, A Suitable Boy, and more. The film is expected to release in 2026.
