Father Muller Medical College Hospital has inaugurated a revamped medical store at its Utility Building in Mangaluru, aimed at improving speed, accuracy, and patient convenience in pharmaceutical services.
The upgraded facility introduces a Single Window–Single Dispensing System, combining earlier fragmented counters into a unified setup to reduce waiting time and avoid patient confusion. Integrated with the Kranium Hospital Management System, the pharmacy now operates on a paperless model, improving efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in medicine dispensing.
The redesigned store also focuses on patient-friendly infrastructure, including accessible pathways for specially abled individuals and weather-protected internal connectivity from the outpatient department. A QR code-based verification system has been introduced to minimise dispensing errors and enhance patient safety.
Hospital authorities said the reforms are designed to streamline workflow and significantly reduce turnaround time, ensuring quicker service delivery. The system also supports health card registration to simplify future visits for patients.
Affordable pricing and improved service coordination remain key priorities, along with trained staff focusing on patient communication and support. The overhaul addresses earlier operational bottlenecks and ensures smoother patient flow within the pharmacy system.
