Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on Tuesday visited the revered Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and offered prayers, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the nation.

The visit marked his second pilgrimage to the temple since assuming office.
Upon his arrival at Tirumala, the Vice President was warmly received by Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, along with officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, including Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra.

Temple priests extended a traditional ceremonial welcome, offering the customary rituals that signify respect and devotion.

Radhakrishnan began his visit by paying obeisance at the Dwajasthambham, the temple flagpole, before proceeding for darshan of Lord Venkateswara. He also visited several associated shrines within the temple, including those dedicated to Goddess Vakulamata, Lord Vimana Venkateswara, the Bhashyakara Sannidhi, and Lord Yoga Narasimha Swamy, reflecting the spiritual significance of the complex.

At the Ranganayakula Mandapam, Vedic scholars recited sacred hymns and offered blessings through Vedic rituals. The temple authorities presented the Vice President with a portrait of the presiding deity along with sacred offerings, including holy water and consecrated food. He later visited the shrine of Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, located opposite the main temple, and offered prayers there as well.

Senior officials, including TTD Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary and Board Member Bhanu Prakash Reddy, were present to oversee arrangements and facilitate the visit. According to a message shared on the social media platform X, the Vice President prayed for harmony and prosperity for all citizens.

The visit followed his participation in the centenary celebrations of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam a day earlier. Radhakrishnan then travelled to Tirupati to undertake the pilgrimage.

This marks his second visit to Tirumala since taking office, the first being in September 2025, when he also participated in cultural and spiritual programmes in Vijayawada and Tirumala. His continued visits underline the spiritual importance of the temple and its enduring connection with national leaders.
