US President Donald Trump said he cut ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein allegedly hired young female workers away from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Speaking to reporters on late Tuesday after a trip to Scotland, Trump claimed one such worker was the late Virginia Giuffre, a key accuser in Epstein’s abuse cases.

Trump stated, “People were taken out of the spa, hired by him. Gone. I told him, ‘We don’t want you taking our people.’ He did it again. I said, ‘Out of here.’”

Trump’s comments come amid increasing scrutiny over his administration’s handling of documents related to Epstein’s crimes. Attorney General Pam Bondi said releasing the files could expose victim details and illegal content, including child pornography. However, her remarks sparked more questions, especially after she told Fox News that Epstein’s client list was “sitting on my desk.”

The White House previously said Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for being a creep. Trump now claims the reasons were “sort of the same thing.”

Yet, earlier reports suggest their fallout may have also involved a rivalry over a Palm Beach property, not just Epstein’s behavior.

When Epstein was arrested in 2019, Trump refused to detail their split, stating, “The reason doesn’t make any difference.” His latest comments, however, reflect how sensitive and controversial the topic remains as Epstein’s connections to powerful figures continue to draw attention.
