Iran criticises Trump for offensive rude comments
Tehran
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly criticised US President Donald Trump for what it called “offensive and insolent” remarks against top Iranian officials. In a statement on Monday, Iran said Trump’s words showed disrespect for moral values and violated the United Nations Charter, especially the principle of respecting a nation’s right to choose its own path.
The ministry said these remarks were an insult to Iran, a country with an ancient civilization, and hurt the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide. The statement added that such insults only increase global anger toward US policies and make America’s calls for dialogue seem dishonest. Iran also condemned Trump’s words against its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people.
Iran advised US officials to stop using rude language and instead take responsibility for breaking international law, including attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities and supporting Israel’s actions in the region.
Trump recently claimed on social media that he saved Khamenei from "a very ugly and ignominious death" and accused him of lying about defeating Israel. Last week, Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel after 12 days of fighting and asked both sides to show restraint.
Iran’s strong reaction shows how badly relations between the two countries remain strained. The Iranian government’s statement reflects anger at what it sees as American bullying and interference. Tensions continue as Iran urges the US to respect international laws and avoid actions that harm regional peace and stability.
