London: The High Commission of India in London hosted a special community interaction at India House, shortly after the successful completion of Operation Sindoor. The event allowed members of the Indian diaspora, including students and citizens in the UK, to engage directly with the High Commissioner and senior mission officials.

During the session, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns, and share their experiences regarding the recent evacuation under Operation Sindoor. The High Commissioner reassured the community about the Indian government's commitment to the safety and well-being of Indian nationals abroad.

A major discussion point was the recently negotiated India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The High Commissioner emphasized that the FTA will strengthen economic ties between India and the UK, opening up new opportunities for trade, investment, and employment. It will benefit Indian businesses by providing better access to the UK market and enhancing exports.

The event also featured insights from top Indian military leaders. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, along with other senior armed forces officials, shared their perspectives on the successful execution of Operation Sindoor and the synergy achieved by the Indian Armed Forces. The interaction highlighted the importance of continuous engagement between India and its global diaspora, reaffirming the High Commission's role in strengthening India's international relationships and supporting its citizens abroad.
