Balochistan
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has organized rallies in various Baloch cities to raise awareness for the upcoming Baloch Genocide Memorial Day. These events were attended by key BYC leaders.
On Sunday, a protest rally was held in Karachi's Malir Sharafi Goth, where participants emphasized the significance of January 25, 2025, Dalbandain’s Memorial Day. The rally aimed to raise awareness about the suffering of the Baloch people. BYC leader Sammi Deen Baloch addressed the crowd, highlighting the ongoing fight against violence, enforced disappearances, and government repression. She reaffirmed the BYC's commitment to its cause despite state oppression.
Sammi Deen also mentioned the police crackdown on peaceful Baloch demonstrators in Lyari on January 18, leading to the arrest of several, including BYC Deputy Organizer Lala Wahab Baloch. She emphasized that such actions would not weaken the Baloch resolve.
The BYC's Khuzdar Zone also hosted an event at Shaheed Razaq Chowk, where Mahrang Baloch spoke about the injustices faced by the Baloch, referencing the murder of Abdul Rauf and the mass graves in Tootak.
In Nushki, Shahji Sabghtullah and Bebarg Baloch led a rally to honor Baloch martyrs. BYC leader Sabiha Baloch in Chagai stressed the importance of Baloch unity, stating that their collective strength has made their enemies fearful.
These activities aim to raise awareness and mobilize support for the Baloch Genocide Memorial Day.
