A Voyeurism Network Has Been Busted By The Japanese Police
Tokyo
The Japanese police have dismantled a voyeurism network that has been secretly filming thousands of women taking hot spring baths for more than 30 years. Over a year after the arrest of the alleged ringleader, Karin Saito, police in Shizuoka Prefecture have detained 16 males. The men recorded and distributed graphic photos and videos of women taking hot spring baths.
In 46 different prefectures over the course of 30 years, Saito acknowledged taking voyeuristic photos of naked women. He also gave the police information on at least a dozen other members of his gang. Senior corporate leaders, local government officials, and a doctor from Tokyo are among those who have been arrested. The arrests were made earlier this month.
