Will chief minister's economic advisor Basavaraj Rayareddy statement on corruption make a change?

No matter what party comes to power in the state for a few decades, Karnataka is No. 1 in the country in corruption rather than development, the statement of Basavaraja Rayareddy, the Chief Minister's Economic Advisor and Yelabuga MLA, has raised the question of whether the officials and people's representatives of Kalyan Karnataka will actually introspect.

Speaking at the district-level dialogue meeting of the Regional Imbalance Remediation Committee held in Koppal on Tuesday, he lamented that quality development work is not being done due to widespread corruption, which is not resolving the problems of the common people. He lashed out at all politicians and the government, saying that how can regional imbalance be resolved when corruption is going on at a large scale? How can we, as politicians, work like that? The state government has formed the Karnataka Regional Imbalance Remediation Committee under the chairmanship of economist Professor M Govinda Rao to study the 22-year-old DM Nanjudappa report for the development of Kalyana Karnataka, but he expressed his pain that the government is not working in that direction sincerely.

Especially, 42 MLAs, 5 MPs and 9 council members are working, yet this part is lagging behind in all fields. Rayareddy, a senior and experienced politician, has studied everything, observed some of the government's moves and expressed his anger.

Doubts have been raised among everyone whether the politicians and officials, especially those from the Kalyan Karnataka region,  will pay attention to honestly implementing important pro-people projects that have been on the back burner for several years.
