Vijayapura property rise
Vijayapura: MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal highlighted that the significant development work carried out in Vijayapura over the past seven years has greatly enhanced the city’s infrastructure and increased property values.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony for internal road and drainage works in various colonies of Navarasapura, part of the Toravi Gram Panchayat in the Nagar constituency, Patil Yatnal said the project, funded by a ₹10 crore grant from the RDPR Department, will further improve living conditions in the area.
He warned against property grabbing, saying some thieves are illegally seizing innocent people’s properties, including spaces meant for public use. “Their accounts can be monitored regularly and action will be taken as soon as any illegal activity comes to our notice,” he said.
Patil Yatnal also spoke about the ongoing fight against illegal encroachments on Waqf properties in Vijayapura, which he claimed has become a model for the entire country. This movement has helped protect government properties, mutt dignitaries, and innocent citizens.
Roads and sewerage have been developed in all city blocks and colonies in a phased manner. Any remaining gaps will be addressed promptly, he added. He also announced a proposal worth ₹2750 crore has been submitted to the government for approval of Phase-3 of the drinking water project to ensure uninterrupted water supply to every household, including those in remote areas.
The event was attended by Gram Panchayat President Suresh Gachchinamani and local leaders SL Ingaleshwar, Dadasaheba Bagayat, Anil Patepur, Vitthala Jaratapa, BD Kadakola, Sunil Chavan, Sriram Deshpande, and Santosh Patil.
