Terrorism In The Name Of Religion Cannot Be Accepted, Karajagi

The aim of all religions is peace and happiness in life, said renowned scholar Gururaj Karajagi. He spoke after inaugurating the 91st Sarvadharma Sammelana held as a part of Lakshadeepotsava at Dharmasthala.
A life of peace and harmony is possible if we inculcate the values of religionin true spirit. Violence in the name of religion is being witnessed everywhere. Terrorism in the name of religion cannot be accepted. Coordination of all religions will help in preserving harmony in society and thereby people may lead a harmonious life, he said.
Lauding the social services of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Karajagi said the temple has turned into a centre of religious integration because of the efforts of dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade.
Heggade said welfare of people is the objective of religion. Religion shows us the path to become successful in life. Though there are many religions and different types of practices, the main objective is the welfare human beings, he said.

Instability in religious, economic and social spheres could pose a challenge to religion but Dharmastala succeeded in overcoming such challenges even during the Covid-19 pandemic, he added.
On Sarvadharma Sammelana, Heggade said the tradition began in 1933 helps in purification of one's inner self. Practice of religious in true spirit and expecting goodness is the message this convention sends to the society, he added.
Tumakuru Siddaganga mutt seer Siddalinga Swamiji presided over. Resource persons including Supreme Court Advocate MR Venkatesh, VB Arathi and Mahammed Gouse delivered talks.
