A massive 1.5-tonne stainless steel installation depicting Indian Constitution's Preamble will soon grace Tolankere Parki. Designed to look like an open book, this installation embodies the nation's democratic principles.

The structure features high-quality stainless steel with a matte buff finish, ensuring durability and sophistication. The installation aims to enhance civic consciousness amongst park visitors.

The Preamble, presented in both English and Kannada, ensures broader accessibility and constitutional understanding. The installation requires precise engineering and thorough groundwork to support the substantial metallic structure. Officials have implemented necessary safety protocols for the installation.

The installation seeks to achieve similar outcomes, functioning as an educational resource and reminder. The location, Tolankere Park, ensures optimal visibility and accessibility. Officials will implement regular upkeep procedures to maintain the structure's condition.

The state government initiated this project last year to install Preamble replicas in prominent parks across 10 cities, including Bengaluru. The social welfare department allocated over Rs 3 crore for this pioneering initiative.  Work continues at Tolankere Park, with an investment exceeding Rs 25 lakh.

The structure exemplifies technical precision and artistic excellence. Constructed with premium materials, it stands 10 feet tall and 12 feet wide, weighing 1,500 kg. The outer layer uses 2 mm SS 304 stainless steel with a buffed matte finish. The Preamble text appears in both English and Kannada, engraved via nitrogen laser cutting on 1 mm PVD gold-coated stainless steel.

The stainless steel construction offers superior durability, resisting environmental damage. SS 304 provides excellent protection against corrosion and weather effects.

R Vijay Kumar, Superintending Engineer, HDMC, confirmed enhanced security measures and lighting for the sculpture at Tolankere Park.

A Hubli-based company, known for Ayodhya railway station's interior design, crafted the sculpture. Installation is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
