Lok Sabha Constituency Congress candidate Venkataramane Gowda (Star Chandru) took up election campaigning at Dalavai Kodihalli in Malavalli taluk.

He said that he, being the son of the soil of this district, have not come to politics to make money, but to serve people. He asked for an opportunity, and appealed to the voters to support him in this election as they held Narendraswami's hand in the assembly elections.Congress leaders and workers including MLA Narendra Swamy, former MLC Marithibbe Gowda, District Congress President CD Gangadhar were present.
