Preparations underway for 10th kannada literary conference

The picturesque Rangnath Swamy Hill at Madigonanahalli, located on the border of Kuduru and Soluru hoblis, is being readied for the upcoming 10th Taluk-Level Kannada Literary Conference. The conference is set to take place on March 6, with the local Kannada Sahitya Parishat working diligently on the arrangements.
TN Padmanabh, President of the Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat, conducted a site visit to assess the preparations at Rangnath Swamy Hill.
Speaking to the media, he stated that both the Taluk administration and the Kannada Sahitya Parishat have made complete arrangements for the event. The conference will be inaugurated by Tahsildar DP Sharath Kumar at Rangnath Hill with a flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for the morning of March 6. A procession featuring Bhuvaneshwari Devi and conference President MG Manjunath will commence from Dr BR Ambedkar Residential School along the national highway to the hill. Students dressed in traditional attire and Kannada folk art troupes are expected to participate in the procession.
The conference will be inaugurated by District In-Charge Minister Ramalinga Reddy in the presence of Siddaganga Mutt’s head, Siddalinga Swami. The reception committee chair, MLA HC Balakrishna, will preside over the event, with notable attendees including Mahesh Joshi and former Minister H.M. Revanna. MG Manjunath will also deliver a speech and launch books written by local poets.
Na Someshwara Rao, the host of the Chandana Channel's That Anta Heli programme, has been invited as a special guest.
The event will conclude with a closing ceremony and award function presided over by Siddhraj Swamiji of Palanahalli Mutt, Ranganath Swamiji from the Kallipalya Bhakta Muneshwara shrine and MR Ramaswamy, head of the Guru Peetha. Dr Santosh Hanagal, Secretary of the Kannada Development Authority, will deliver the valedictory speech.
