Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has accused the Congress party of creating and nurturing corruption. The controversy arose after an audio recording exposing corruption in the Housing Corporation was leaked. Rayareddy, a Congress leader, admitted to significant corruption during the Congress regime, which led to the audio’s release. He also mentioned that North Karnataka legislators had complained about a lack of development funds, highlighting widespread graft.

The BJP, however, claims that its opponents dismiss these allegations, accusing the party of having no real achievements. The Chief Minister’s response is awaited, especially in light of his previous comments on financial needs for housing schemes. Meanwhile, a Congress legislator has exposed an ongoing transfer scandal, with contractors alleging that the government takes a 60 percent cut.

During Sonia Gandhi’s UPA government, corruption allegations amounting to Rs 12 lakh crore surfaced. Yet, no senior or junior officials have been held accountable. With Sonia and Rahul Gandhi currently out on bail, there is no authority questioning them. Union Minister Joshi criticized the Congress for lacking credibility and public trust due to these unresolved issues.
