District’s new Superintendent of Police Rohan Jagadish speaking at a press conference said “My first priority is to create a people-friendly police system in the district.”

“Accordingly, people's expectations about the police system are also high. Anyone who comes to the police station is in distress. At that time, their problem cannot be resolved immediately. However, if we understand their pain and respond, it will be like helping them. In this regard, there is a desire to develop a good relationship between the police and the people.Previous District Superintendents of Police in have done a good job. Babasaheb Nemagowda was loved by the people. In addition to continuing the good work of his predecessors, the aim is to go one step further and do even better work,” he said.

The Third Eye system is working well in city. Along with the technology-based police system, we will go to the people and understand their problems and respond to them. Through this, we will make an honest effort to build trust and courage that the police system is with us, he said. “I have held a meeting with the officials and informed them about my plans. I have also listened to their words. Even minor complaints will be attended to with utmost care,” he said.

“I do not believe in conciliation in cases other than minor disputes. I will visit police stations regularly and review the system. Officers have been instructed to work honestly in any matter including strengthening the best, recusery in theft cases, and creating public awareness about crime,” he said.
