Patla Foundation an example of success, says Edneer Pontiff
MANGALURU
Edneer Mutt pontiff Sri Sachidananda Bharati Swami lauded the Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation as a shining example of what an organisation can accomplish for society in just a decade. Speaking at the Yakshadhruva Patla Decennial Celebration 2025 and National Art Conference held at Adyar Garden, he praised the foundation’s remarkable contributions.
“This is a magical surprise for all art lovers, made possible by the founder president Patla Satish Shetty,” the pontiff said. He highlighted the trust’s efforts in providing healthcare support to artistes across various fields in the district, offering shelter to poor artistes, and fostering social harmony through innovative programmes. He extended special congratulations to the trust officials and donors on this milestone occasion.
During the event, the prestigious Yaksha Dhruva Maha Poshaka Award 2025 was presented to Federation of World Bunts Associations president Aikala Harish Shetty and his wife Chandrika Harish Shetty. Accepting the award, Harish Shetty praised Patla Satish Shetty’s devotion to Kateel Durgaparameshwari and emphasised the foundation’s role in supporting Yakshagana artistes, who work intensely for six months but struggle to make a living during the rest of the year.
“Patla Foundation has helped thousands of artistes, and the love behind the honour is what truly matters,” he said, urging youth to strengthen the foundation and promoting peaceful coexistence of all religions in Tulunadu.
K Prakash Shetty, CMD of MRG Group, also praised Patla Satish Shetty, noting that while his voice is his god, he is a god to Yakshagana artistes who entertain despite hardships and never beg for support.
The event was attended by Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation honorary president Kanyana Sadashiva Shetty, Decennial Celebration president Baroda Shashidhar Shetty, and other dignitaries.
