"Party to decide state president soon, Vijayendra confident"

BJP state President BY Vijayendra said he is confident that the party will decide on the post of state president soon. He spoke to the media after participating in a yoga program on the occasion of World Yoga Day at the BJP state office on Saturday.
Asked if he was confident of continuing as the state president, he said, we are a national party. I am confident that a final decision will be made soon on who should be made the state president after taking the opinion of all the district presidents and the opinion of the party leaders. I feel that I have been diligently fulfilling the responsibility given to me as a party worker for the past one and a quarter years. I have been providing the information that needs to be given to the central and national leaders, he said.
I and some senior party leaders met Union Home Minister and party mentor Amit Shah on Friday. We discussed state politics and current affairs at length for about 25 minutes, he said.
The Congress government has been following a policy of division since it came to power. We discussed how the government has become a curse for the poor and farmers of the state. He listened calmly. The party has a good opportunity in the coming days. He said that everyone should forget their differences and come together as one.
