The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has set a fee of ₹1,600 for corrections in the II PUC mark sheets, prompting strong objections from parents.
Students and parents will need to pay this additional fee to rectify details such as the student's name, parent's name, date of birth, and other related information.
Many have questioned, "Why should students and parents have to pay an extra amount for mistakes made by colleges and board staff when accurate information is supposed to be available before students join PUC after passing SSLC?"
Ajay Kamath, the state secretary of AIDSO, has stated that the Congress government in the state is planning to close government schools by merging those with low attendance with other schools.
