Basavajaya Mrityunjay Swamiji of Kudalasangam Peetha has announced that the Panchamasali Lingayat community will take out a rally   on December 13 to condemn the negligence of the government in according the 2A category reservation to the community.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, the Swamiji said that Panchamasali Samaj will stage a massive protest to condemn the government's neglect towards the community.There will be struggle inside and outside the legislature, he said.
Last week, a meeting of Chief minister Siddharamaiah was scheduled with MLCs and MLAs of the Panchamasali community to discuss the matter. The MLAs of the Panchmasali Samaj were disappointed after learning that the meeting was not happening. Now the Chief Minister's office has informed that the meeting will be held in Bengaluru. So, there is a doubt that the government is unnecessarily delaying granting of the reservation. So the community has decided to restart the struggle, he said.
All the community leaders, including Ministes Laxmi Hebbalkar and Shivanand Patil, MLAs Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, CC Patil, Vinay Kulkarni are part of the Panchamasali reservation struggle. Taking them into confidence, the Panchamasali Samaj will take out a massive protest rally from  Chennamma Circle to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha and submit a memorandum to the government, he said.
