Paddy, jowar support price purchase centres established: Minister

Jowar and paddy crops have been grown in the district under the government's support price scheme, and 5 purchase centers have been started in the district by the government, said State Small Industries and District In-charge Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapura.

The Minister, who said in a press release, said that farmers who grow paddy and jowar have requested the minister to start purchase centers to get support price, and the minister has suggested starting them on Tuesday itself. The district administration has started these centers at Yadgir Agricultural Produce Market premises, Agricultural Produce Market Committee premises in Surapura, KFCSC premises in Shahapur, TAPMS premises in Hunasagi and Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society in Naikal, because farmers should sell their crops at these centers and get the benefits of the government scheme.
