ORI bags 'Vedapeetha' award

The prestigious Vedapeetha Award, given to the country's top research institutions, was conferred upon the Oriental Research Institute, an affiliated institution of the University of Mysore, in recognition of its achievements in Oriental studies research for the year 2025.
The award was presented at a colourful function held was held in Belagavi by Sri Bhandarikeri Matha, Udupi.
Dr DP Madhusudhanacharya, Director, ORI, received the award on behalf of the institute. The award includes a citation and a cash prize of onelakh rupees.
On Wednesday, at the Vice-Chancellor's office, Dr DP Madhusudhanacharya, Director of the Oriental Research Institute, handed over the award to University of Mysore in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof NK Lokanath,and Registrar MK Savitha.
Deputy Director of Oriental Research Institute C Parvathi, along with all the scholars and staff of the institute, were present on this occasion.
