No development in Karnataka under Congress regime since 2023: Ashoka
Mysore
Terming Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as an outgoing CM, Leader of the Opposition in State Legislative Assembly R.Ashoka said there is a big line in the Congress Party to become the CM of Karnataka.
Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, he said no development has taken place in Karnataka since 2023 and the people were regretting voting the Congress to power in 2023 Assembly polls. While Deputy Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar has built a separate fortress, Large & Medium Scale Industries Minister M.B.Patil and PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi are following their own ways. Due to the financial implications of five guarantees, no development has taken place since the last two years. Four persons are eyeing the CM's chair. The opposition BJP has been exposing the scams of the incumbent Congress government like Mysore Urban Development Authority and the Valmiki Development Corporation.
Holding the state government responsible for the Bengaluru stampede which claimed lives of 11 innocent persons, Ashoka said the CM has admitted himself of inviting the governor for the felicitation to the IPL 2025 title holders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru on the stairs of Vidhana Soudha. “Even the chief secretary has also admitted to inviting the governor for the felicitation function. To cover up his mistakes, the CM has kicked out Govindaraju from the post of political adviser to the CM. The people are watching everything and they will give a fitting response to the Congress Party in the coming days,” he added.
NDA's achievements
The opposition leader said there has been a continuous development in the last 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Compared the 10-year rule of Manmohan Singh with the 11-year rule of Narendra Modi, that development has increased fourfold under Modi. “Globally, India’s economy was ranked 10th or 11th earlier, but now it stands at fourth place, and PM Modi aims to take it to third. During Indira Gandhi’s time, India had to beg for wheat from other countries. Under PM Modi, India has supplied COVID vaccines to over 100 countries,” he added.
