We admitted our daughter to Harapanahalli Taluk Hospital for delivery. The doctors performed a cesarean section. But the doctors made a mistake while stitching the wound after delivery. Then they sent her to Chigateri Hospital in Davangere saying that her daughter's health condition was critical. They added 12 bottles of blood there. They wanted to remove the uterus. However, despite everything they did, our daughter did not survive. They did not even let us see her. Our daughter died due to the negligence of the doctors at Taluk Hospital, alleged Huligemma, the mother of the deceased.
District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr MB Nagendrappa said, the mother died due to bleeding after a cesarean section. On Thursday, shei was admitted in the afternoon on the advice of the Harapanahalli Hospital doctors. We performed another surgery and removed the uterus. By the time they reached here, her BP had decreased. We gave her about five bottles of blood and 15 units of blood platelets. She died at 1 am on Friday. A state level enquiry will be conducted after receiving the post mortem report, he said.
