MLC Rajendra, son of Minister K.N. Rajanna, stated that a complaint has been filed in the honeytrap case and that the CID is currently investigating the matter. Speaking to the media after his visit to Chamundi Hills and Nanjangud temples during his two-day tour of the district, he said his father is currently in Delhi and will provide a statement to the CID upon his return on Saturday.

Rajendra maintained a calm stance regarding the issue. “We can’t say for sure that there will be problems with the honeytrap issue. We will face the situation coolly,” he said.

He also addressed speculations about a change in the KPCC President post. “My father has expressed his willingness to take up the role if given the opportunity. He is someone who knows how to organise the party. His request for the post shouldn't be seen as a move against anyone, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah,” he clarified.

When asked about raising the honeytrap issue in the House instead of within the party, Rajendra responded, “The opposition brought up what happened to Rajanna in the House, so it was necessary to respond there. That’s why the issue was raised before the Chief Minister.”

He also accused the opposition of ignoring real issues. “No one talks about petrol, diesel prices or the dollar rate. CM Siddaramaiah is doing a good job and wants recognition in Delhi,” he added.
