Kalyanpatha and Pragatipatha are major government projects that connect schools, hospitals, commercial establishments. Industries from villages. Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Minister Priyank Kharge instructed engineers of the Panchayat Raj Department to construct these roads with quality, which can complement the educational and economic development of rural life.

He was addressing the Engineers who had arrived from all districts of the state after reviewing the progress of major projects of the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department and Karnataka Rural Development Corporation at the Vidhana Soudha conference hall.

The government has provided Rs 1,000 crore in this budget for the Kalyanpath project. This is the first time that the government has provided such a large amount of financial assistance for the development of roads in the Kalyan Karnataka region. The responsibility of constructing good quality roads with the grant provided by the government lies with the engineers. Minister Priyank Kharge directed that the roads should be constructed in a way that is durable and long-lasting without any shortcomings.

The government has provided Rs 5,200 crore for the Pragatipath project. The Department of Economic Affairs of the Central Government has instructed the Asian Development Bank to approve it. The bank's team has already visited the state and inspected it. Meanwhile, the department is preparing a full project report for the roads, the minister was informed in the House.

Additional Chief Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Department Anjum Parvez and officials attended the meeting.

 

The cases of delayed works should be taken seriously and that they should be in touch with the MLAs and Members of Parliament and be committed to completing the works at the earliest, Minister Priyank Kharge said. .
