Belagavi
Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa assured that, considerations will be made to expand the schemes provided to children in the state who are studying in Kannada medium schools in Maharashtra, which borders Karnataka.
Responding to a question on whether children from Kannada schools in Maharashtra will benefit from the state government's schemes, he declared, it would be good if the Maharashtra government did this. We should think about how right it is to give to someone. I will discuss this with legal experts and take a further decision. It is good to give shoes to children. If we do not cause any trouble, we will distribute shoes and various schemes to those children.
Our government is ready to discuss the development of North Karnataka. Everyone has been talking about it since Monday. The same discussion will continue till Wednesday. Just like in the Assembly, there should be a discussion on this in the Council as well," he demanded.
If there is a serious discussion in the House about the North Karnataka region, the confidence of the people will increase. Otherwise, a mentality will be created that even if there is a golden palace, there will be no use.
On Monday, the House was held till midnight, which is a historic day. This gives confidence to us and the opposition parties. Appropriate action has already been taken against the teachers and officials who sold books to primary school children without giving them. Some officials have made mistakes. We have brought them to justice, he warned.
